Moving company in Jersey City NJ is seeking to fill Help Desk Engineer positions. The ideal applicant will have at least 2-3 years of experience applying help desk/troubleshooting skills in a networking environment.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
The ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written form to technical and non-technical people.
Proven customer service and follow-up skills.
Outstanding troubleshooting and problem solving abilities.
Strong organizational and prioritizing skills.
Excellent documentation skills.
Responsibility as a self-motivated team member, with a passion for technology, and both mentored and independent learning.
Applicants should posses experience supporting end-users in the following areas:
Basic comprehension of TCP/IP based Windows environments.
Experience with various PC and Server Backup methods and software.
Experience with Nagios monitoring system.
Understanding of basic productivity applications such as email, word processing, spreadsheets, web browsers, etc.
A basic understanding of networking infrastructure such as routers, firewalls, and switches.
Familiar with remote control software such as VNC, Remote Desktop, etc.
Knowledge of applications such as FTP clients, anti-virus, anti-spyware, and diagnostic tools.
Experience with a variety of hardware manufacturers and software vendors.
Basic installation and troubleshooting of Windows 2003, XP and Linux platforms.
Some experience setting up/troubleshooting PC`s and servers with operating systems and applications.
Experience with Mac OS is a plus.
Experience with Novell eDirectory and Groupwise is a big plus.
This position requires a valid driver’s license and a vehicle as Company has multiple locations and require occasional travel.
